Give yourself the power to attain success with affirmations.

Because having a mantra and repeating it daily alters your brain. And what better way to embody your mantra than to wear it as an affirmation? A positive mindset is like a superpower – and affirmations are your kryptonite!

Research suggests that with regular use, affirmations can banish negative thoughts and help you reach your goals. So why not give it a try; after all what could be more heroic than believing in yourself?

Practising daily affirmations has a wealth of benefits for both your physical and mental well-being.

To get started, you simply need to pick an affirmation.

Don’t worry if you’re unsure precisely what you want to say. We have loads of powerful affirmations here at IAM (and we’re adding more all the time!).

You could start with:  capable [kay-puh-bul], having power and ability; efficient competent: I’ve worked long and hard to be both physically and mentally strong. I am capable of anything!

Or perhaps: empowered [em-pou-erd] having the knowledge, means or ability to do things for oneself: I am empowered to dig deep, train hard, and earn my results!

Once you’ve chosen an affirmation and the top to put it on, you should recite it when you wake up and go to bed (plus a few more times in between). Practising daily affirmations has a wealth of benefits  and there’s evidence it can make you more physically active, relieve anxiety symptoms, and ease depression.

You might not actually feel ‘capable’ right now. But you’re making it more likely by reciting the mantra!

By using positive affirmations, you can flip the script on negative thoughts.

It’s like re-programming your brain – where a simple phrase repeated often will have an uplifting effect and encourage actions to match its sentiment!

Your words have the power to rewire your brain! Research published in 2015 revealed something incredible – simply reciting positive affirmations can lead to increased activity in the ventromedial prefrontal cortex (VMPFC). This is the part of the brain responsible for perceiving ourselves and managing emotions. Not only that, but science shows us that regular affirmation practice may reduce stress levels, improve sleep quality and even help manage anxiety symptoms!

So put on your IAM activewear with your affirmation emblazoned across your back. You’ll be flipping the script on negative thoughts in locally-made gems or handpicked treasures, all crafted with heart.
